After doing some research before our trip, we found out that there are basically two locations for the pink lakes: Salin-de-Giraud and Salin d'Aigues-Mortes. We also found out that it wasn't possible to visit Salin d'Aigues-Mortes without a tour. As we wanted to visit the pink lakes in the evening, this wasn't an option for us.
